Congratulations to Harpy, the 1.5 year old Cashmere/Nubian cross, entered in the competition by Kim Nader! Harpy jumped a whopping 24,” setting this year’s AWSGA record for the highest jump! We love the careful way Harpy assesses the jump before tackling it, and the protective boots!

Congratulations Tiberius Augustus! This talented two-year-old Toggenburg cross jumper, flew over a 29.25” jump, beating his record, set last year, by a whole inch and a quarter! Now he’s set the new AWSGA puissance record for 2024! It’s always a joy to see this fellow jump! Way to go, Tiberius Augustus and Morgan Frend!

Lester, the 4-year-old LaMancha wether, is a superb example of a working athlete. He looks completely at home in his stylish packing gear; engaged, but not tense. He has an expression of assured confidence, showing a calm, intelligent demeanor. Lester brings strength, proficiency, and sleek elegance to his work, and his turnout is a perfect blend of functionality and aesthetics. Congratulations!

This perfectly matched pair of Toggenburgs are beautifully trained. The photo shows them moving forward, easily keeping pace with their handler, with bright expressions and attentive ears. Their carriage is fabulous too! An all around spectacular turnout, and a lovely demonstration of caprine teamwork and cooperation! Congratulations!

The level of caprine talent, and training skill, which everyone brought to this event was phenomenal! The recipient of the Crowd Pleaser Rosette is Daisey, a yearling Boer doe, who performed alongside Roger the beagle, and handler, Michelle Roche. You can watch their winning trick below. In his entry in the Working Ranch Goat event, Jack demonstrates a stellar combination of strength, steadiness, understanding of his responsibilities and tasks, and an eager upbeat attitude. In the pictures, he pulls his cart with good form; engaging his core and driving into his collar with his hind legs. He also stands calmly when asked. All of these qualities make for a strong, trusty, and fun caprine helper, who feels good about his job, both at chore time, and out and about! Congratulations!

Wilbur gave a stunning performance in the Skills In-hand event, completing each part of the course with smooth precision, concentration, and balanced, supple movements. He is a wonderful ambassador for agility goats everywhere, exemplifying how gentle, intelligent, attentive, and happy to collaborate, a well-trained goat can be. Congratulations!
